FAQs
Questions people ask before buying a container.
If yours isn't here, ask it on the quote form and we'll answer it with your price.
Where do you deliver?
Across Berkshire and the surrounding area. We can usually deliver further afield too; the delivery cost is included in your quote.
How is a container delivered?
On a crane lorry (often called a HIAB), which lifts the container off and sets it down in place. The driver needs firm access to get close to the spot, and clear space above, with no low cables or branches.
What ground does it need to sit on?
Firm and level. Concrete or hardcore is ideal, and paving slabs or railway sleepers under each corner work well on grass. Keeping it level means the doors open and close properly for years.
Do I need planning permission?
On farms and building sites it's rarely an issue. A container kept long term on a residential driveway or garden can sometimes need permission, so check with your local council if you're unsure. We're happy to talk it through.
What's the difference between the grades?
One-trip containers are nearly new. Refurbished ones are used containers that have been repaired and repainted. Used, wind and watertight containers show their age but are sound and dry. The Buy page explains each in more detail.
Can I see the container before I pay?
We send photos of the actual container wherever we can, along with its container number, so you know what's arriving.
How do I pay?
Once you've approved your quote, you can pay securely by card or bank transfer. We order your container and confirm the delivery date as soon as payment clears.
Can I hire instead of buying?
Hire is coming soon. Register your interest and you'll hear first when it launches.
